CryptoPunks Sale Falls $80 Million Since January

CryptoPunks' revenue in June has fallen sharply from what it did at the beginning of the year. This is also a common situation for NFTs in recent times.

    Cryptopunks June Revenue

Currently, CryptoPunks has fallen behind Bored Ape Yacht Club and Axie Infinity in the NFT revenue race, with the total sales so far at $2.3 billion.

In June, CryptoPunks gained $41.5 million in regional sales. Compared this statistic with Axie Infinity, Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), NBA Top Shots and VeeFriends, in the same period, CryptoPunks revenue looks much more impressive. Compared to May, sales have also increased by 34%. In May, CryptoPunks sales reached $30.78 million.

However, CryptoPunk’s revenue is still down $80 million from what it gained in January.

    Why The Drop in Sales?

The cause of the decline in revenue comes from the decline in the purchase price per product. In June 2022, there are 293 unique buyers and 477 transactions. The average selling price is $87,007 per transaction.

In January 2022, when CryptoPunks reached a yearly high in sales, there were 281 unique buyers with 517 transactions. At that time, CryptoPunks sales volume was in the region of $124.25 million. The month’s average sale value was $240,336, which is 2.5 times higher than in June 2022.
