During the 2023 World Table Tennis Championships, which was broadcast on China’s main sports TV channel CCTV-5 on the evening of May 28, memecoin FLOKI appeared on the billboard as a partner with a link to the official website. After this news, FLOKI price has risen by more than 10% and is currently trading around $0.0003358 on CoinMarketCap.
FLOKI also announced its plan in the Chinese market. The project has already prepared the Chinese whitepaper and revealed the partnership with the crypto social platform Btok. FLOKI will work with Btok to help the memecoin reach more than 10 million crypto users in China. They also plan to release a metaverse game called Valhalla later this year. Valhalla is a play-to-earn game, which allows users to both play and earn money.
After listing Binance on May 6, FLOKI quickly entered the top 100 cryptocurrencies in the market. With a market cap of more than $330 million, FLOKI is currently ranked 4th among the largest memecoin, just behind DOGE, SHIB and PEPE.
Also last week, China Central Television (CCTV) telecasted about Hong Kong adopting cryptocurrencies. As reported in the segment, Hong Kong regulators “have made final preparations” for the trading of virtual assets in the special administrative region and will accept applications from virtual asset trading platforms. According to Binance CEO CZ, “it’s a big deal. The Chinese-speaking communities are buzzing. Historically, coverages like these led to bull runs”. Most recently, Beijing has released a white paper promoting the innovation and development of the web3 industry.
