Former US President Donald Trump Releases NFT Collection

Donald Trump's NFT collection will cost $99, giving buyers the right to meet face-to-face with the former president.

On December 15 evening, Trump released an “exclusive” collection of 45,000 NFTs on his new website, Trump Digital Trading Cards

Each card is a “sketchy” photoshopped image of Trump that cost $99. In return, the buyer will have special benefits such as dinner, face-to-face meetings, golf, etc. with US former president. However, these benefits will be limited to US citizens only.

If buyers choose to buy 45 cards at the same time, they will definitely get tickets to the gala dinner with Mr. Trump at the Florida resort. However, the maximum purchase amount per registered account will be 90 NFT.

The above NFTs can be purchased with a credit card or cryptocurrency, with the only crypto supported being WETH. However, buyers will not be required to have a crypto wallet, but instead just need to provide an email address, the NFTs will be kept by a third party, Tor. Those who already have a crypto wallet can connect the wallet to the website for sale to receive NFT.

Trump said in a video promoting:

The project website claimed Trump’s NFTs will be released on Polygon, for a total of 45,000. The number 45 also appears throughout the collection because Trump is the 45th President of the United States. Each card will have a random rarity ranging from 1 to 20 copies of the same image.

It is worth noting that Trump will not benefit financially or use the $4.5 million proceeds from the sale of NFTs for his own campaign.

Trump recently announced his return to US politics when he campaigned for the presidency in 2024.

Earlier in 2021, his wife, Melania Trump, also released a personal NFT collection.

Former President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized cryptocurrencies in the past, as he said it threatens the power of the US dollar in the financial industry.
