According to recent tweets by @DogeWhaleAlert, the platform that tracks the movement of major Dogecoin transactions, 1.7 million Dogecoins have been transferred within the last 24 hours.
This large amount of Dogecoin was shifted in just three transactions, two of which carried 800,000,000 Dogecoins and one transferred 100,000,000 DOGE. At the current exchange rate, 800 million DOGE is equivalent to $57,970,400 and 100 million DOGE are worth $7,729,600; so the total value moved in DOGE is worth about $7,729,600. Notably, these transactions were made with extremely small fees: $0.16, $0.08 and $0.058 per transfer.
@DogeWhaleAlert also said that currently, Robinhood, a popular investment app, is holding a large amount of Dogecoin, up to 40,138,384,632 meme coins. This is valued at $2,892,291,720 and accounts for 30.25% of the total circulating supply of the cryptocurrency.
Rumor has it that crypto trading giant FTX is considering buying Robinhood. The platform’s stocks, HOOD, then surged more than 18% but this rumor was rejected by FTX later.
