Ocean Protocol, Helium and Chainlink Gets Strong Growth Amid Bear Market

Cryptory.net - Amid crypto bear market, these 3 tokens still have impressive growth.

The crypto market crashed in May and remains a bear market at the start of June. Traders are concerned as BTC is stuck around $30,000. However, according to data from Trading View and Cointelegraph Markets Pro, Chainlink (LINK), Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) and Helium (HNT) still gain strong growth.

    Chainlink launches staking feature

Chainlink is the most widely used oracle network in the crypto ecosystem, which allows blockchains to securely interact with an external data supply, thereby helping smart contracts to function properly. Earlier this week, Chainlink revealed the roadmap, and said that its staking feature will be available in the near future. This news had a positive effect on the price of LINK. Within 2 days from June 7 to June 9, the value of this token increased by 29.55%.

    Ocean Protocol uses NFTs

Ocean Protocol’s native token, OCEAN, has also gained notable growth. Trading View and Cointelegraph Markets Pro data showed that, since the price dropped to $0.1965 on June 3, OCEAN has continuously recovered and increased by 64.53% to $0.32 on June 9.

The reason probably comes from the launch of the Ocean ONDA v4 marketplace, which uses NFTs for more flexible handling and the monetization of curated data sets. Also, the protocol introduced Ocean data framing which enables token holders to stake their OCEAN tokens and earn up to 125% annual percentage yield.

Holder Helium votes to support new networks

Helium is a protocol that enables low-power wireless devices to communicate with each other and send data across its nodes. Since hitting a low of $6.35 on May 29, HNT has rallied 79.14% to hit a high of $12.28 on June 9. The token’s 24-hour trading volume also spiked 249% to $126.7 million.

The breakthrough occurred when the Helium community voted for HIP-51, a proposal that scales the Helium network to support new users, devices and different types of networks such as cellular, VPN, WiFi, LPWAN, etc. This proposal was approved with a total of 96.94% votes.
