What is Phi?
Phi is the first social gaming metaverse focused on “on-chain Identity” created using ENS and proven wallet activity, enabling the easy visualization of on-chain identities. It encourages users to interact with various web3 protocols, which provide positive feedback to all protocols and accelerates the overall network effect of Web3. The main platform of the product is being operated on the Polygon (MATIC) chain.
Why are many users interested in this trend?
Decentralized social networks are a trend that may bloom in the future. Vitalik Buterin (the founder of Ethereum) has also shared about this concept in recent blog posts. Some people think that Phi is a combination of ENS domains, decentralized social networks, and somewhat of metaverse.
Phi basically has 3 main parts: Phi Shop, Phi Quest, and Phi Land.
Phi Shop: where users can buy decorations, Baseplate, and special properties for their land.
Phi Quest: Includes Campaigns, Adventures and Quests. These are on-chain tasks that users can complete for “certificate”.
Phi Land: Where you put what you have collected and bought in Phi Shop together.
How to test Phi products?
One of the prerequisites is to own an ENS domain name, along with a little MATIC to pay gas fees and buy items on the platform. Next, you have to buy land in the “Shop – Baseplate” section. If you want, you can buy more decorative properties in the “Wallpaper” section.
After you have the pieces of land and items collected from completing Phi Quests, you click on “Phi Land” and choose the ENS domain you want to build on. Next step is Deposit land and items from the wallet to the platform. Then, you can arbitrarily arrange the items on the land and click “Save” to save your land on the blockchain.
