Shiba Inu Attracts 20,000 New Holders In Last Month

Cryptory.net - Despite the current bear market, Shiba Inu has still attracted a lot of interest from investors.

Shiba Inu has attracted more than 20,000 new holders in the past month. According to CoinMarketCap, SHIB had 1,178,157 holders in November 2021 but as of July 11, the number of holders has reached 1,199,539, representing a growth of 21,382 over this time period.

In March, the number of wallet addresses holding this meme coin suffered a drastic drop, losing 32,832 holders in just one day. Early June, SHIB also recorded a significant loss as 21,507 holders disappeared in less than a week. At the time of writing, Shiba Inu appears to be slowly recovering when 20,000 new holders have been added in the past month.

Since the founder left, the SHIB team as well as its community have taken new steps to prove it is more than just a meme coin. The project recently launched a new burn portal to cut the meme coin’s circulating supply, increasing its rarity. It also founded the DAO organization to empower the local community and planned to release a metaverse project at the beginning of this year. Uber Eats and DoorDash have offered the option to pay with SHIB at their stores in the United States since June 20. Shiba Inu also plans to launch stablecoin “SHIB” and a new collectible card game in the future.

According to on-chain data, a whale bought the dip of 20,000 billion SHIB (equivalent to $210 million) on July 4 prior to the release of Shibarium. This wallet address is said to have sold off XRP to invest in SHIB. Immediately, this meme coin surged nearly 21%.

Shiba Inu is the 14th largest coin on the market, with a market capitalization of $5.7 billion and a 24-hour trading volume of over $327 million. SHIB is currently trading at $0.00001106, down 2.39% over the past 24 hours, but up 7.69% compared to the last week, according to CoinMarketCap.
