Shiba Inu Plans to Launch Stablecoin “SHI”

Cryptory.net - Shiba Inu's SHI stablecoin is expected to launch in late 2022.

A lead developer of Shiba Inu on July 6 has revealed a plan to expand this memecoin’s ecosystem. Besides stablecoin “SHI”, a reward token and a collectible card game will also be launched.

In a Medium blog post, developer Shytoshi Kusama said that the Shiba Inu team is crafting a decentralized stablecoin named SHI, which is supposed to avoid the issues found on other stablecoins, typically Terra/Luna. SHI is expected to launch later this year with more details on this stablecoin will be revealed once it gets closer to its final form.

TREAT, the new reward token, will be tied to the collectible card game Shiba – a metaverse project with 1,000 land plots as virtual real estate. In addition to working as a reward token, TREAT will also help provide balance to Shiba Inu’s stablecoin. The developers promise to give a limited supply of TREAT for longtime supporters of the project.

SHIB is currently trading steadily at $0.00001052, up 2.72% over the past 24 hours. Back in June, when many tokens fell sharply due to the crypto crash, SHIB grew strongly by nearly 50% in the last week of Q2 thanks to investors’ confidence in the Shibarium protocol. ShibaSwap’s BONE token and LEASH have also increased by 6% and 5%, respectively, in the past 24 hours.
