5 Altcoins Outshine Bitcoin with Impressive 30-Day Performance

With major institutional players submitting spot Bitcoin ETF applications amidst a surge in Bitcoin, several altcoins have been outperforming the top cryptocurrency in June.

In the last week, Stacks (STX) saw a remarkable increase of 72.3%, followed by Pepe Coin (PEPE) and Conflux Network (CFX), which rose by 67.8% and 43.8%, respectively. Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Kadena (KDA), and Ordinals (ORD) also had notable gains, ranging from 26.6% to 38.9% growth.

Over the past 30 days, PEPE recorded an impressive gain of 481.92%, while RUNE, STX, and BCH also showed strong growth with increases of 81.5%, 25.9%, and 23.9%, respectively.

PEPE and STX outperformed Bitcoin in both the 7-day and 30-day periods, while other coins like CFX and KDA showed mixed results when compared to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin’s performance in the last 7-day and 30-day periods was 21.1% and 12.7%, respectively.

On June 21, Bitcoin dominance peaked at a yearly high of 50%, indicating altcoin weakness, but it has since retreated slightly to 49.5% as the market rallies.

The top 50 coins (excluding stablecoins) that did not post double-digit gains in the last seven days are LEO, TON, TRX, BNB, XRP, QNT, ATOM, LINK, and XMR.

The mixed performance suggests strong investor sentiment toward specific altcoin projects, with only PEPE, RUNE, STX, MKR, and BCH outperforming Bitcoin in the last 30 days.
