In the early morning of March 21, DefiLlama’s official Twitter account clarified the controversies that broke out within the project over the weekend. The team apologized for confusing its users through a statement directing people to a forked version of its decentralized finance dashboard.
Previously, a part of DefiLlama’s employees who did not agree with the plan to issue tokens for the DeFi data statistics site, separated and publicly contradicted on Twitter. Tensions then escalated with accusations going back and forth between the two sides.
“The DeFiLlama team would like to apologize for the events that unfolded yesterday, as a result of poor communication and a misunderstanding within the team,” the company tweeted.
However, in the latest announcement, DefiLlama said that it was all just an internal misunderstanding and “poor communication”.
DefiLlama affirmed that it is ready to leave the controversy behind, and cancel the plan to issue its own token for the time being. Any decision regarding tokens will be discussed publicly.
In addition, the project will have improvements to increase transparency, ensuring that such disputes will not recur.
DefiLlama added that other projects in the Llama Corp group will still operate normally.
On the side of 0xngmi, the founder who previously announced his separation also confirmed the reconciliation with DefiLlama and navigated the new website he created to DefiLlama.
