Is ChatGPT’s Latest Enhancement a Game Changer for Crypto? - Sam Altman, the founder of OpenAI, has unveiled a significant upgrade to their widely-used AI chatbot, ChatGPT. This development has the potential to bring about a revolutionary impact on the cryptocurrency industry.

Altman has recently confirmed that ChatGPT, a powerful language model, can now browse the internet for the latest information. It has overcome its previous limitation of only having data up until September 2021 and can now provide up-to-date information along with source links.

This development brings forth numerous possibilities for ChatGPT’s role in the crypto space. While the AI chatbot has already become popular for crypto price predictions, its restricted knowledge base has been a limitation. Nevertheless, with the newfound capability to access real-time information from the web, ChatGPT can now provide more precise and knowledgeable insights into the ever-changing realm of cryptocurrencies.

ChatGPT’s Role in Crypto Continues to Grow

In June, Elliptic, a leading firm specializing in managing crypto risks, announced the integration of ChatGPT into its intelligence and research operations. This integration aims to improve the efficiency and accuracy of Elliptic’s research efforts, enabling investigator teams to effectively identify emerging risk factors and handle larger volumes of risks.

Similarly, the Solana Foundation integrated ChatGPT into its network in May. As a result, the company introduced a new plugin that allows users to directly access features such as checking wallet balances, transferring tokens, and even purchasing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with Solana through ChatGPT.

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget is also utilizing AI in various ways to enhance user services and stay ahead of the curve. In July, Gracy Chen, the managing director of Bitget, revealed that the exchange is leveraging AI tools to streamline processes and enhance functions. AI has proved particularly beneficial for Bitget’s translation team, allowing them to handle translations for multi-language services more efficiently. Additionally, the customer service department utilizes AI to provide faster responses to queries, including customized information and trading data.

Moreover, Bitget is actively working on an AI-powered chatbot inspired by OpenAI’s ChatGPT. This chatbot will assist users in their trading activities.

ChatGPT Predicts Mainstream Adoption of Crypto

Stacy Muur, a web3 entrepreneur and marketeer, recently used X (formerly Twitter) to ask ChatGPT about its vision for the future of web3. In response, the chatbot provided a timeline that outlined several significant developments. By 2024, it predicted the global acceptance of cryptocurrencies. By 2025, it anticipated the widespread adoption of decentralized identity systems. And by 2026, it foresaw decentralized finance (DeFi) replacing traditional financial services.

Furthermore, ChatGPT envisioned the rise of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), the integration of blockchain in healthcare, and the creation of an energy-efficient and environmentally conscious blockchain ecosystem by 2035. The chatbot also predicted that services like Filecoin and Arweave would become the foundation of internet storage, offering more secure, efficient, and decentralized alternatives to conventional cloud or server-based storage systems.
