Splinterlands Reaches 2B Games Played and Millions on Card Sales: Can It Dethrone Axie Infinity?

Splinterlands has reached another milestone, selling millions of cards and surpassing 2 billion games played.

Following their $1 million unwrapping event on March 17th, Splinterlands, the most popular P2E game in the blockchain ecosystem, has reached yet another milestone. Millions of cards were sold, and 2 billion games were played on the gaming platform. This is by far one of Splinterlands’ most significant achievements, since it attempts to reward more players and provide them with additional earning options.

Side Door Ventures joined up with Balthazar to give the students $1 million worth of Splinterlands assets in the form of Chaos Legion packets during the unpacking event. There were also 3,000 Balthazar scholarships issued, a live lottery with 1 BCX gold foil card out for grabs, and the unveiling of Balthazar’s scholarship incentive scheme, all done via livestream with NicoThePico and Splinterlands’ Bulldog leading the pack unwrapping.

    About Splinterlands

Splinterlands is a card game that can be played on a desktop or mobile device that allows you to trade and earn in-game prizes. Tournaments, missions, and ranked play are all distinct types of games where you may compete with other players and combat with your cards.

For starters, unlike previous blockchain games like Axie Infinity, the game supports cross-compatibility with various blockchains such as Ethereum, Tron, and WAX. Furthermore, Splinterlands features its own blockchain, which ensures in-game stability and regular card value improvements.
