Thunder Terminal Hacked for 86.5 ETH, Hacker Even Ask for More Money

Cryptory.net - Thunder Terminal confirmed on Twitter that 114 wallets were affected but funds are safe.

On-chain trading platform Thunder Terminal was attacked today. The platform confirmed on Twitter X that the attack affected 114 wallets but their assets were still safe.

ZachXBT’s investigation added that the hacker stole 86.5 ETH (approximately $192,000), then transferred them to Railgun.

Thunder Terminal said they promptly prevented the security incident, confirmed that no wallet’s private keys were compromised and pledged to refund those affected.

“No one’s private keys are compromised. Only 114 wallets out of over 14,000 were affected. Funds are safe going forward. We stopped the attack in <9 minutes.”

However, the hacker sent an on-chain message, saying that Thunder’s announcement was fake. They also threatened to delete all Thunder user data if they did not receive 50 ETH. The platform has not responded yet.
