In the last 3 months, there has been a mysterious whale silently accumulating $3 billion in Bitcoin, making this wallet the world’s 3rd largest BTC holder. The community is extremely curious who is behind the wallet.
BitInfoCharts reported that this wallet address first received Bitcoin on March 8. Over the next 3 months, it continued to accumulate Bitcoin, bringing the holdings to 118,300 BTC on August 28. With the value of $3 billion, it is the 3rd largest Bitcoin wallet in the world, just behind Binance and Bitfinex, which hold $6.4 billion and $4.3 billion respectively.
According to Arkham Intelligence, this wallet is owned by Robinhood – a financial trading platform that has been involved in the crypto sector for a long time. Talking to CoinDesk, Arkham also revealed that this wallet address is the Robinhood custody address, controlled by Jump Trading.
However, according to Wu Blockchain, the Gemini exchange is the owner of the wallet. Meanwhile, others predict BlackRock is the one behind this wallet. BlackRock has submitted an application for a Bitcoin ETF, CEO BlackRock also expressed confidence in Bitcoin, so it is likely that this company has silently accumulated BTC.
Of course, all of this is just predictions and there is no evidence to confirm it yet. So, we can only wait for the owner of the wallet to appear.
