GameStop Unleashes NFT Marketplace Public Beta

GameStop's NFT marketplace allows players, creators, collectors, and others to buy, sell, and trade NFTs.

Gaming giant GameStop (GME) launched its own NFT marketplace on July 11, providing services at low fees and high speeds.

Users can buy, sell, trade, and create NFTs. The marketplace allows users to view NFT statistics. Educational materials are also provided, which cover everything from the basics of NFT to detailed guidelines to join the market. There are 236 NFT collections on the market right now.

Furthermore, there are several upcoming Web3 games to launch through Immutable X, including Illuvium, Gods Unchained, and Guild of Guardians. GameStop partnered with Immutable X in February.

The company has just launched the public beta version of the app, and users will have to wait until the full version is released.

This is the latest effort of GameStop after many years of financial struggles, partly due to the rapidly changing of online video game industry. The retail game company is trying to regain confidence among investors. GameStop operated a total of 4,573 stores, including 3,018 in the United States, as of January 29. In addition to this business, the company also owns EB Games and Micromania.
