Epic Games Store Changes Policies, Allowing to Blockchain Games To Be Listed Again

Cryptory.net - With new updated policies, two popular blockchain games, Gods Unchained and Striker Manager 3, have been listed again on Epic Games Store.

Epic Games Store has changed some policies, allowing games built on blockchain to be listed again.  Blockchain games are labeled as “Adults Only” (AO) due to the presence of blockchain and NFT elements. Once properly labeled, these games will be allowed to appear again on the Epic Games Store.

Epic Games Store once removed all AO games on the platform, resulting in these labeled blockchain games being delisted as well. Currently, with the new change, two popular web3 games, Gods Unchained (GODS) and Striker Manager 3, have been listed again.

Immutable (IMX), a Layer-2 blockchain dedicated to the gaming ecosystem, also the developer of Gods Unchained, said: “We are pleased with Epic Games’ policy decision, and @GodsUnchained has relisted on their store. This policy change shows that the space recognizes the experience of web3 gaming, and we are one step closer to adoption.”

While Epic Games Store has opened its doors for blockchain and Web3 games again, its competitor Steam has still banned games related to blockchain and NFTs from 2021. However, web3 game companies are making outstanding strides, partly opening up opportunities to enter the traditional gaming world.

Immutable has been expected by VanEck’s Investment Director to reach the top 25 coins with the largest market capitalization, pushing IMX’s price up in recent days. In early November, Immutable also cooperated with famous game company Ubisoft to promote blockchain games.
